Our workshops

Wheel Woman runs workshops to suit all abilities - we are looking forward to riding with you!

We run the two workshops (described below) regularly in multiple locations across the South Island. Please read the descriptions then scroll down to check dates and venues. Email to let us know which workshop interests you and we will then send you more detailed information. If you are not sure which workshop will suit you please email or call us and we can discuss your options.

'FUN'DATIONS

A beginners workshop for women looking to learn the basic mountain biking skills required on single tracks. We will cover body position, braking and cornering, giving you the skills and confidence to get out and practise on your local trails.

FLOW

Extend your single track mountain biking skills and confidence. A workshop for women with experience looking to take it to the next level. Suitable for riders who have previously attended a Wheel Woman course or have the experience and skills to ride grade 3 trails. We hone the skills learned in FUNdations and look more technical terrain.

ADVANCED

Coming this Spring, we are offering ‘Advanced Skills & Techniques’ and ‘Corner Like A Pro’ courses with our super experienced coach, Jo Perrott. This is for the experienced ladies looking to extend and hone their skills on grade 4 and 5 trails! Previous coaching and/or already comfortable on grade 4 trails is required.

*As there are limited spaces on each course, full payment prior is required to secure your place.

We also offer private coaching or if you want to get a group together, we can run a special workshop to suit your abilities and timeframe.

For those of you who are real beginners to off road riding, we can run an ‘Introductory to Mountain Biking’ at Rabbit Island, let us know if this interests you!

We run Wonder Woman Workshops, on demand, for advanced riders looking to get wheels off the ground or tackle harder terrain and we have bike tech workshops. Scroll down to see descriptions of these workshops.
